As a new chiropractic patient, your first visit to Back Bay Chiropractic & Wellness will typically include several important steps to help provide a better understanding of your health concerns and develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. Here is what you can expect during your first visit:
What to Expect
Patient Intake
When you arrive at the office, you will be asked to fill out some initial paperwork that includes medical history, current symptoms, and any relevant information about your health.
Consultation
The chiropractor will then meet with you to discuss your health concerns in more detail, and ask additional questions about your symptoms, lifestyle, and any other factors that may be contributing to your health issues.
Physical Examination
After the consultation, the chiropractor will perform a physical examination to evaluate posture, range of motion, sensory/motor function, the overall strength of certain muscle groups, and any areas of pain or discomfort.
Treatment Plan
Based on the results of the examination, the chiropractor will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include manual adjustments, flexion/distraction therapy, therapeutic exercises, shockwave therapy, acupuncture, electrical stimulation, or other forms of treatment designed to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and promote healing.
Follow-up Visits
The Chiropractor will schedule a follow-up visit with you to track your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. Depending on your condition and overall health, you may need several visits over a period of weeks or months to achieve optimal results.
